This HP 3-Year Commercial Warranty promotion provides extended support for HP LaserJet printers.
As long as you’ve been using HP Original Supplies², you will receive service and support, at no charge³, for up to three years after purchase. If service or repair is required, your call agent will request an HP Cartridge Index Code. The code is automatically generated based on the supplies used in the device and is easily retrievable.
A list of eligible HP LaserJet printers can be found in Table A of the Terms and Conditions. Each end customer may register up to 100 eligible HP LaserJet printers. Registration and activation must be completed within 60 days of original purchase.
All customers continue to benefit from the standard 1-year HP commercial warranty offered with HP LaserJet printers. Once registered in the HP 3-Year Commercial Warranty promotion, services are available at no charge3 for up to three years if you use HP Original Supplies. Alternatively, customers may purchase HP Care Packs to extend services beyond the HP limited standard warranty4 with a programme that best meets their needs (please visit our HP Care Pack Central for more information).
Please note that while the use of non-HP or refilled cartridges will void the additional two years of extended coverage, it will not cancel your standard 1-year HP Limited Warranty. However, if during the standard 1-year HP commercial warranty the printer manifests a defect and such failure or damage is attributable to the use of a non-HP or refilled cartridge, HP will charge its standard time and materials charges to service the printer for the particular failure or damage. What data is tracked on my device? How does HP verify that Original Supplies have been used?
No tracking or communication with the device is required for this programme. HP does not track any data without consent by the user.
Instead, use of Original HP Supplies is verified when the customer submits a unique 8-digit Cartridge Index Code generated on the print device, at the time of service. No communication between HP and the device is necessary to obtain the Cartridge Index Code. The printer or MFP verifies the use of Original HP Supplies using an electronic signature assigned to each toner and ink cartridge.
